VIC Fires 6.0

This application is designed to provide up-to-date information about bushfire data in Victoria, Australia for users of iPhone, iPad, and iPod.

It utilizes data from the Victorian Country Fire Authority/Victorian Department of Sustainability data feeds on fires, wind data from the Bureau of Meteorology, and your current location provided by the iPhone GPS.

With this information, the application presents a list of fires starting with the nearest ones first, aiding users in understanding their current situation.

The accuracy of the data depends on both the iPhone GPS and the information recorded on the CFA's website.

This application does not cache any data, hence requiring Internet access (via Wireless, 3G, or GPRS) to access the information.

The application is accessible for the iPod Touch; however, please note that the GPS location and the proximity to the fire may not always be reliable.
